This review is for the game Metro 2033. Overall the game was fairly decent. Not awesome but not terrible either. The story is pretty much a Russian version of Fallout. Everything has been wiped out by nuclear weapons and animals/people have begun to mutate. You must fight your way through creatures such as these:
Sometimes you must fight creatures in hordes as well. The character you play as was born in the metro shortly after the nuclear wars and has never ventured out into the wasteland. Your mission is to go to the center of the metro (the heart) and inform the remnants of mankind about the incoming threat.
The graphics in the game are decent (not brilliant though). The gameplay is fun but can sometime seem redundant, as you must fight a lot of the same creatures when not facing the stronger ones (such as the librarians or the "Demons"). You must also keep track of your gas mask, as when you go outside of the metro, you are exposed to toxic air and must look at your watch to check how much time before you need to replace your filter. Ammo in the game is fairly easy to come by, if you run out just switch your gun with a fallen enemy. Just make sure not to give away your expensive guns away.
Overall, I would give the game an 8 out of 10. It was enjoyable and a fun game to play if you're tired of MW2 for a while.
