It will premier on Adult Swim on 2/13 at 12AM it is not a separate story its follows the manga and has the same voice actors as the original plus new characters
I fell asleep when it came on... I woke up however long enough to realize that Al's voice is slightly off, higher pitched to make him sound younger, but that was halfway through the episode which pissed me off I would have caught the rerun but I had to work... not that I had a chance in hell to catch it
I saw the commercial for this, it kind of makes me want to give the series a try. I remember catching a random episode and not watching it again but it looks interesting. I'll probably read the manga first though.
The manga is the new one, but more interesting, they "kill" homunculi by destroying them till they really die
