This is for if you have a recommendation for an anime. You can compare 2 different anime and tell how it is alike or you can briefly summarize the anime you wish to recommend. I'll start by giving an example of each.

If you liked Elfen Lied, you might also like Blood+

Blood+ and Elfen Lied revolve around the definition of what it means to be human and humane. In both cases, a super-evolved species portrayed by an apparently weak female lead, presents a threat to mankind. Yet humanity is responsible for much of the violence that follows. While Elfen Lied is occasionally borderline ecchi and Blood+ maintains a very serious tone through and through, both series are emotionally-moving and allow emotional bonds to be made, despite the deeply violent world-scape they present.

    This recommendation is for Claymore.

Claymore is about a world constantly haunted by demonic predators known as "Youma", the everyday life of humans is full of fear and suspicion, as these monsters easily blend into human society to hunt their hapless prey. However, in this world, there is also a mysterious organization, employing half-human, half-Youma warriors to effectively track down and kill the demons. Called "silver eyed witches" or "Claymores" after the huge Claymore swords they carry, these female warriors are eyed with suspicion and distrust by most because of their inhuman powers.

When the young boy Raki meets Clare, a Claymore sent to kill the Youma haunting his hometown, he is eventually caught in a story of love, revenge and treachery, as Clare's past meets with her future...

Yes that's perfect my specialty is comparing animes to mangas, so my first one will be the comparison/ recommendation for Chibi Vampire/Karin

Chibi Vampire (Manga)- Is about Karin Maaka and her struggles as a half vampire. She has problems fitting in and several problems with the new guy, Kenta Usui, who has her blood affinity Misfortune. The manga focuses on some of Kenta's back story like how his grandmother hates him, his relationship with his father, and the struggles of his mother raising a child alone. The main point is that vampires are becoming sterile as they do every hundred something years or so. Karin is a font of renewal as it were. She is kidnapped and was about to be raped, which if you read the novels happen quite often... but Kenta, Ren and Henry(Ren-brother Henry-father) she is saved and later Kenta and Karin give birth to a child with the powers of the font... which means Kenta fathered a likeness of his girlfriend who wants to rape him...

Karin (anime)- It focuses on Karin's problem which is the same only the overall focus is about the Kenta and the new guy Winner Sinclair who fell in love with Karin because she was the first person she bit back when they were children. Winner is a vampire hunt that is descended form the the original Sinclair's who drove the Maaka's out of England. Karin's grandmother gets in an epic fight with Alfred Sinclair, Winner's grandfather, The fight end's with Elda, Karin's grandmother getting stabbed twice, which she survives because of the strength of the vampires. Karin gets awakened as a full vampire and is brought to her sense by Winner and Kenta, it ends with a giant party that's just depressing.

Manga wins overall and I recommend reading the novels as well because of the interesting stories. Man I made this long had to break it in to two posts

The recommendation is for Hajime no Ippo. (Fighting Spirit in English)

Ippo Makunochi is a very shy high school student who never had the time to make friends because he was always busy helping his mother run their family-own fishing business. Because he kept to himself, a group of bullies led by Umezawa got into the habit of picking on him. On one particular day these bullies decided to give him a rather serious beating, but a middle-weight professional boxer who was passing by stopped the bullies and took the injured Ippo to the Kamogawa Gym owned by retired boxer Genji Kamogawa, to treat his wounds. After Ippo awoke to the sounds of boxers training, the boxer who saved him, Mamoru Takamura, tried to cheer Ippo up by letting him vent his frustrations on a sandbag. It was then that they had their first glimpse into Ippo's talent for boxing.

Truthfully, a great story and plenty of comdey in it. Plenty of penis jokes as well.

This is a recommendation for FullMetal Alchemist.

The story is about two young brothers who committed an act against the law of alchemy. They went against the law of Human Transmutation (creating/bringing people back) and Equivalent Exchange. They tried to bring their mother back after she died and they paid the price by one brother (Edward Elric) loosing his left leg, then the other (Alphonse Elric), his entire body. Ed gave up his right arm to bind Al's soul to a suit of armor. Now they must find out how to get their original bodies back by using the "Philosophers Stone" (A legendary stone that amplifies the power of any alchemist that uses it). But then they find the dark secrets that lye behind the Philosophers Stone.

The anime is good, the manga is MUCH better. They are currently in the process of translating Brotherhood which will follow the manga almost exactly. They have one or two translated now that have aired on adult swim but most of the episodes are already released in Japan (Some are already subbed just not dubbed yet).

I got one Naruto and Nabari No Ou

    Naruto
The plot tells the story of Naruto Uzumaki, an adolescent ninja who constantly searches for recognition and aspires to become a Hokage, the ninja in his village that is acknowledged as the leader and the strongest of all. Naruto Uzumaki is a young boy who has the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox sealed within him. Twelve years before the start of the series, the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox attacked the ninja village Konohagakure , slaughtering many people. In response, the leader of Konohagakure and its ninja military – the Forth Hokage – sacrificed his life to seal the demon inside Naruto when he was a newborn. Konohagakure, however, regarded Naruto as if he were the demon fox itself and mistreated him throughout most of his childhood.
