Can u tell if a psp had cfw?

My friend is lloking to trade in his psp...he uad cfw on it but took it off...is there somthing gamestop checks to see if it has been hacked before or is he home free with this?

they dont check anything but to see if it turns off,and if they do check,by the time they would id be out the door by then...
