Okayy i have gen-b and now i need gen-c then gen-d and last d2 to play jak and daxter,but i read this thing that ses you can skip c and go straight to d then d2, but when i download the link the john gives you, i do what the directions say but theirs an extra file thats called "550.PBP" what am i sopposed to do?
-also when i start the update the screen stays blank, not frozen just blank.

your supose to put the 5.50.pbp in ur memory sticks root and idk y ur screen stayed black probly because you forgot that step
You can skip installing 5.50 GEN C, just go ahead and install 5.50 GEN D and then just update to 5.50 GEN D2..
X-dude is correct, you have to put the 550.pbp on the root of your memory stick and the update folder into the "GAME" folder of your PSP..
If you can't figure it out watch some videos online, pretty sure there's tons on youtube that could help you as well..
