Ur givvin him directions on how to open his battery that's hard modding,soft modding u would use for ur psp not ur battery were u don't have to open anything that's soft modding

That's hard modding as Black said. If you want to soft mod, you need another CFW Enabled PSP. Or a PSP that can run homebrew. If you have any of those, your able to do it.
