Actually I herd about this, You can infact hack the psp 3000, but you need that battery and a mother board from the psp 2000. There is a chip that has to be switch for the process to work.
The effects are the screen will not work with the psp 2000 chip. So you can play it on your Tv. Gay I know but it is hackable. I hope they can figure out how do it using only the PSP 3000's parts like it is for the 1000 and 2000.
