I also have the JAP version and hey I was an idiot and deleted my Game Save. I was 3/4ths done with it. You don't see me begging for a completed one.

Exactly. So just play it here and there. You'll eventually complete it. Do like I'm doing. If you can't get on the Playstation Network to play online then just play some of the Single Player to pass some time.
