Oh I thought you took the first pic and created a render. But I like the look of the smokey background. Is this for something or were you just working on your techniques?

just working on techniques i might make into a back ground for my computer =]

well i didn't get much of a chance to really get into it cause i was looking for custom brushes and couldn't really find any =\

and well i did the smoky look with like some earth like brush and then i had 2 layers of black and a little gray =] then i just did 2 diffrent brushes i did the earthy one and a like claw scratch then i like used the reg eraser to make the tail look sharper smoothed out some stuff and make the heads a little bit brighter.
