GFXer's help me with this

as you can see the edges of the girl on the picture is so fucked up...how do you cut those edges and make it look like normal?how i fix it?i used the quick selection tool to extract the girl from the background then i put her on another background...the background is originally an apple i just got a stock photo of a heart and covered the apple...

Or try using the lasso tool. Then refine the edge a bit.
