A few questions about replacing a screen

Alright i am wondering if this thing is a ground cable(or tape i guess), or something else. And is it needed? Because the replacement screen that i got doesn't have it.

I also have a broken ribbon clip on the back-light plug, Any tips on what to use to hold the ribbon in place?

Allright, the screen you bought is a dud, because you need the tape, because it communicates with the screen to make the image....
And to just fix everything, buy a new screen and tell the people you bought the original screen from to go fuck themselves
