Facebook Connect (Beta)
This is available for registering members and current members. This should speed up the registration progress. As for already registered members, you can set up your current account on Console Discussions to be linked to your facebook. There really isn't a difference, it just depends on your preferred method of logging in.

Currently Facebook Connect sends notifications to your Facebook from Console Discussions for the following:

• When there is a new reply to a thread that the user is subscribed to with instant email notification
• When there is a new reply to own thread
• When the user receives a new PM

Tags (Beta)
I now have a script that will automatically tag threads, where members have not provided tags.

There are some known bugs, which is why I am just going to test out everything for awhile. If the bugs are not fixed anytime soon, then I will be removing the script.
