You can try it. I just type my messages in at Xbox.com

i would rather use a usb keyboard then trying to use the controller. its so much more faster and i hate using the controller to type. takes to long.
I actually never knew this... so helpful jesus...
Only downside is if you don't have a usb keyboard handy, or if your like me and mastered how to use the controller to type
