If you're using something like Photoshop I'd recommend using the pen tool to cut out the image.

Yeah, i used the pen tool but i dont think i zoomed in enough and did a good job. i have Photoshop CS5 extended

Nice job, I hope that you continue and become even better. There are many ways to do the same thing in Adobe products and CAD products. I wonder what will be your next project.

Thanks, i am gonna look up some more tutorials and hopefully get better gradually

Youtube tuts are one visual way of learning. Mostly you should play around with the tools and get familiar with the UI.
