1.) Download files

2.) Backup everything, SMSBackup&Restore for texts, everything else you just copy from computer. If you are already rooted you can use Titanium Backup.
Unlocking and rooting process erases the phone!
3.) You must be unlocked an rooted, so if not already use the one click unlock and root provided in the above download. You will first need to install the drivers for your OS rather it be 32 or 64 bit, put your phone into usb debugging (settings -> developer), and allow install from unknown sources (settings -> security). Then click root.exe and follow on screen instructions, keep in mind this will format your phone!
4.) Put the jelly_toro_vanir_v3.zip on your GNex.
5.) In clockwork recovery, wipe data (deletes everything!), and the wipe cache, select install from SD card and choose the jelly_toro_vanir_v3.zip file.
