5.00 M33 Custom Firmware Update #6

You must have at least 5.00 M33 Custom Firmware to install the 6th update. You can obtain 5.00 M33 HERE. You MUST have Custom Firmware to install 5.00 M33!

With Dark_Alex he wants to make sure he makes his stuff perfect, so of course you can expect some updates, which is a good sign of him showing his activity within the PSP community.

Anyway here is what updates 5.00 M33-6 has:

• A setting has been added to recovery, that, when enabled it may increase memory stick reading speed. (only on the psp, not in the pc). By default it is disabled. If you installed 3.71 fatmsmod, do not use this setting, as its perfomance with 3.71 driver has not been tested. Instead, reinstall 5.00 m33-4 using dc8 and update to 5.00 m33-5
• Fixed a bug that made unbootable psp without memory stick or with a bad one.

Installation
1.) Make sure you are running 5.00 M33 Custom Firmware. If you are running Official Sony Firmware then use our service.
2.) Make sure your battery is 78% or more charged.
3.) Download the 5.00 M33-
6 file from the attachments.
4.) Open your PSP up in USB mode.
5.) Go inside the MS_ROOT folder of the 5.00 M33-6 file your just downloaded and drag all the contents of it to your Memory Stick's Root. If you do not know what the root of your Memory Stick is then read THIS.
6.) Run the installer.

it's faster to get into recovery mod..

I ahve heard of vsh and i have 5.00 m33 but what does this do.

vshmenu.. its simply a menu.

Press the select button to access it.

so this update can the music.prx run when the vshmenu is enabled? so far i cant do that on the previous updates. and i dont see the shutdown on vshmenu after the update.

this is nice especially the umd/ISO speed I was having some trouble wit that. The shutdown in vsh is cool too

If you already have 5.00, you can just use network update just remember to go into recovery and enable m33 updater.
when i change my xmb cpu speed, then open vsh menu,sometimes the menu flashes different colors and up/dwn buttons very sensitive in the menu. any idea wats up with that? it only started doin that after i updated from 5.00 m33-3 sry a little off subject

i have this firmware all i did was download it of the internet of psp its sweet you have everything the psp needs + hacks SWEET :happy:

Sweeet. Update Six. I love the speed feature they added.

A note though:

Don't use it with the 371 Fatsmod, as the results have not been tested.
In order to use it, they have to flash back to 5.00 M33-4 and then install -6.

Cool, I haven't had CFW for two days and there is already a new update! Sweet!

i dunno if this is off topic but when i try to update it says i need to download 500.pbp i did that and now when i try to update it goes through unpacking yada yada yada and then it says verifying 500.pbp and after that it says incorrect file could someone please tell me what is going on and what i need to do?

make sure you have m33 update enabled in recovery

it is and it still comes up as incorrect file

What u need to do is copy the "update" folder in ur computer and paste it in ur PSP/GAME folder and *click* "yes to all" then go back to ur main "MS ROOT" and the 500.pbp in ur computer copy it and paste it in ur "MS ROOT" and *cilck* "yes to all" then exit USB MODE. Now it well work if it happens again do these steps again.
