Word of Warning: RROD is back in fashion.

The bad ass new dashboard came out for the 360 back on Nov. 19.

There are many reports of bricking, rrod, and with that said, be careful on your updates! My advice is to ALWAYS wait about 5 days... or just ignore the new ones until it becomes necessary. The PS3 had a bricking firmware on 1.40 i think, and I was going to update that night but was too lazy, lol.

My PS3 bricked from 1.40 but luckily the support got me to fix it without sending it in (idk how). But luckily for the 360, this new update hasn't given me RROD.

Omg both of my Xbox's got RRODed. That must be why! Yousure about the firmware brick for PS3 though? I have it and I've never heard of anyone getting a brick out of it...

Thats what I'm doing. Its not my priority though. I want an Ipod Touch.

As for some who can't get online... I get update through OXM disc's, no problems on my end, little slow down on some games but likely caused by hour upon hour of gaming.

you prolly dont wanna get the arcade, it doesnt come with a hardrive and you're more likey to get RROD!!! I wud get a pro and if you dont want to spend that much money get the refurbished version and back it up with a warranty, but trust me, dont get arcade version. you cant play any old xbox games on it. my friend had one for about a month and he had to send it in for fixing:(.

actually ive had arcade for 3 years and it never got rrod and it could do anything the elite could. btw u need a hard drive to play original xbox games and the arcade= no hard drive.
