I need a homebrew that will create a save state on normal PSP games. I need to save states at certain parts of games, so that incase I screw up in a one-chance situation, I just load it and do it the right way.

screw up? you mean like freeze? because if your psp shuts down, just turn it on and your plaing again
I see what u mean (took a little while) well there are 2 ways to do it:
1. just save the damn game before you get to the situation, if you mess up, exit out of the game, load it back up, tada, back at starting pt (I did that a lot in the pokemon games :) )
2. Write a prx, which would take a while, it's not that easy, it would create a save file of that pt. so it would take the original save file then modify the right part and tada
Just use way #1 :)
i always did that in pokemon games, before you had to catch like zapdos or mewto lol

This is same version as the one for 4.01 M33 but updated to do patches in 5.00 M33, that’s why version hasn’t changed yet.I strongly encourage you cast an eye over the included readme.txt before using this plug-in. Also, Demonchild’s PspStates Tutorial can be helpful.
Remember to discard old savestates from 4.01 before using the plugin. If you attempt to load a savestate made in 4.01 your ram would be in 4.01 M33 but the flash in 5.00 M33, and soon or later it will crash or give problems.

- Fixed important bug in inter-thread code (semaphore wasn’t waiting due to interrupts disabled), that caused the load state to not be completely read in some cases. This caused black screen after state load (unless you just saved that state, in this case state was still in ram), or even worse, game not working properly due to partial load.
- Added states per game basis. The controls are slightly different: old controls now do a local savestate/loadstate of the game, while pressing additionally select button will save/load a global state. See instructions for more info.
- Fixed bug that caused normal sleep mode waking up immediately.
- UMD discs and ISOs in normal UMD mode are now supported. However, they require to nullify umdcache, by flashing one file, read the instructions below.
