Fuck me. I got the RRoD 1 today. Anyone know if there is a "fix" for it? Its not my accesories checked everything out already so I guess its the hardware. Its a refurbished one though I don't know if the Microsoft warranty is still good.

hell, just leave it alone for a day, if you still get the RRoD just put it in the freezer for 30 min. however during that time you must think of reasons why you bought the (second) crappiest game console and how much better your life would be with a PS3 (lol) but seriously, the first sent. is what you should do

Call Microsoft to see if you still have a warrenty (hopefully you have not voided it, that is if you flashed it). The good thing about the Xbox is if it breaks its free to send it in (As long as you have warrenty of course).

He either played it for too many hours (Did you Zeus???) or just have played it for a couple too many weeks/months and it gave out.

Well you have a warranty so thats good, there sending you your coffin. And unfortunately I cannot say the same about gaming hours for me:sad:. Although I do have a life during the week (girlfriend, friends, car, guitar) during the weekend I turn nocturnal. I will play almost f 47 out of 48 hours for saturday and sunday, only giving myself about 2 to 3 hours to sleep. During that time its all GoW2, CoD4, Fallout, Farcry 2 and maybe some Halo 2.
dude if u take a tech class or something that involves soldering, just take ur 360
in and re-solder the leg that came unattached. because i belive when they made
the 360 they used a cold soldering method.
want some more advice? steal an icepack from your school nurse and just keep it
in your freezer at home and when you play your 360 for extended amounts of time
jjust leave the icepack on the 360
Guys. You don't get the point. There are 4 RRoD's. They are not all over heating. RRoD 3 is "Overheating" hardly persay. The Xclamp pushes down on the Graphics card and when it gets hot enough it will actually bend the card. There is an easy and self fix for this which costs like $30. I have RRoD 1 which is different than the rest. There are still 100's of things it can be but its not the main problem everyone is always hyped up about and the freezer trick and nothing involving overheating it and or freezing it will help since it has nothing to do with that particular problem. I think RRoD 3 is now fixed in the newer models.Quote:

One red ring (E74 error if I'm not mistaken) is usually a hardware error. Before it happened there were distorted color effects on your screen? You will most likely have to send it in.

My Xbox just got RRoD 1 again, its pretty much done. It gets it everytime and the bitch told us it would keep getting it. So i'm just going to go without an Xbox for now until I get $200 for an arcade.
