December 21, 2012... What do you guys think?

For starters,

those of you who don't know what's significant with the date December 21, 2012. Read on..

It's supposedly the end of the world or a new beginning...

The Mayan Calendar, Chinese I-Ching, Hopi Indian Prophecy, Hindu Prophecy.. All point towards December 21, 2012.

It is said that we should see an increase in Drought, Floods, Hurricane, Volcanic Eruptions, Famine, Disease, Polar Shift... I think we're seeing some of these things happen already..

What do you guys think about this? Do you believe it? Please feel free to voice your opinions about this..

I don't think anything will happen. We can't predict the future on what will happen it 3 years. Nothing happened on 6.6.06 and everyone said that was the day the devil was going to rise or something. Bull, I went to see a movie on 6.6.06. Maybe the Mayan calendar ended in 20/12 but it doesn't mean the world is going to end.

First of all, the predictions of 20/12 all lead to destruction, not the returning of Christ. No one knows when Jesus will return (depending on your religion), we cannot predict that. As for the apocalypse, that is said to happen 7 years after the rapture (Jesus' return) so that cannot be in 20/12 clearly.

I personally don't think it's the end of the world..

But i kinda believe that 2012 will bring in a new era for mankind... Maybe something big will happen.. It's just scary sometimes that you see even on the news scientists talking about solar storms and polar shifts.. Even Albert Einstein mentioned before a shift in the earth's polarity...

I dunno... I guess we all just have to wait and see... ^_^

Y2K12 is on the rage now.

Y2k almost happened but was prevented when instead of having 00 as the date (for example 1/1/00 means January First 2000) they changed most machines to 2000. It has to do with binary code I believe and the 00 threw it off. Some small appliances were actually unusable for a while until they fixed this issue.

But what do you guys make of the "Doomsday Vault"... If you guys don't know what it is, google it.

I don't know about you, but making a big @ss vault, a couple of miles deep down an icy mountain somewhere in Norway i believe and it houses every single "seed" there is known to mankind.

I think we have some real issues that needs to be addressed first instead of making a seed vault.. But they obviously made that vault preparing for something..

I dunno, that's just me..

Man idk if its true or not. apparently that's the day the earth, sun, and center of the universe all form a straight line with eachother. now will something happen? who's to say? no one can know for sure, but i can tell you one thing for certain: i ain't gonna be dreading the date coming for the next three and a half years. if something happens it happens, if it doesn't, then a whole lot was made out of nothing. honestly, it isn't worth stressing over something that is entirely out of your control.

I honestly don't care people will bw bugging that day good day to rob a bank -hint- haha start riot start looting.

Although i have to say, if i were in a place and looting starts. I'm not gonna lie, i'll jump on that sh!t and go loot myself, I'm headed for the jewelry stores, then the electronics.. I gotta snag me some t.v. :p

Anyways, I'm not stressing with what's gonna happen nor counting down the days. Just wanna hear people's opinions about it. :)

but i can care less,
humans are destroying the earth.

I believe something will happen (not destruction of the Earth though), but with all the pollution, it is hard to think something wont happen. And I don't think anything will happen on a predetermined date.

OP TOPIC; Ah; Professional Bullshit. In order to realize why this is bullshit, you are required to take into account the track record of the Aztecs. e.g. They ritualistically sacrificed human beings to make the "crops" grows, and they...couldn't predict the untimely ruination of their culture. But they knew when the world will end. Makes perfect sense.

EDIT: Yes, speaking of way out there...The industrial revolution has damned us to barely scrap past the ~27th century. Humanity won't last.

for f**k sakes nothing is going to happen for example all these dates my grandmother said some catasprphic thing would happen:

1999 - Some bullshit was spose to happen

2000 - All technology shuts down or some bullshit

2002, 2006 and 2006 some things were spose to happen also like in the 90s things were spose to happen.

Besides, how can an ancient civilasation predict shit thats spose to happen thousands of years ahead of time?

Their calendar was like 33/1000 of a second off of ours.

Nothing happened on the night of new years turning to 2000, nothing happened all day on the day of 6.6.06, nothing is going to happen, its just a excuse to jack of the ridiculous prices of gas...
