Pokemon Soul Silver/Heart Gold
For those of you who don't know, Pokemon SS/HG are remakes of Pokemon Silver and Gold that were originally for the Gameboy Color. For those of you who do know, I know it hasn't come out in America, I'm playing a patched version translated into english on my CycloDS. Anyway, onto the review.
SS/HG take place to your little character, (the girl has some retarded poofy hat...) in the little town of New Bar..... You know what, go play Gold or Silver. I'm not wasting my time telling the story.
Onto the new stuff compared to the old!
- You can now has your Pokemanz follow you outside with your character! (The first pokemon on your list)
- The battles are a lot faster and smoother now.
- Its a remake of the original.
I haven't gotten very far in the game, and the patched version isn't ENTIRELY in English. Only main story text is translated and menus. It gets quite annoying when you go to talk to NPCs and all you see is
"私は英語を自分の人生について話すことはできません."
Until I get the American version, I give this game a 9.8.

Re: Pokemon Soul Silver/Heart Gold
Where could I get one of those Cyclo DS Evolution things? Is it worth it? Where could I get the rom? Finally would it run well on an emulator on the PC?
ここで私一人シクロDSの進化のことを得るだろうか?それだけの価値はありますか?どこにromは得るだろ うか?最後に、それだけでなく、PC上のエミュレータ上で実行するか?

Lmao! Sounds like the original pokemon games (those are the good ones) only with a few cool twists to it.

I thought it would be cool to have a pokemon follow outside with you, but its just the pokemon in your first position. I love having my Pikachu follow me, but it really sucks when I have to walk through a cave with him and get fucked up or have my ugly Todedile follow me...

Yours is still Tododile? Lol. Mine is Croconaw now and I just bought the game yesterday. When you buy the USA version let me know your friend code so we can battle and trade. I'm trading a level 40 Gyarados for a Abra of any level

I beat the game months ago when I had the Japanese one. (CycloDS FTW) I beat even though I couldn't understand anything they were saying... -_- My final team was:
Typhlosion [Lv. 96]
Lugia [Lv. 100]
Riachu [Lv. 90]
Scizor [Lv. 89]
Slowbro [Lv. 92]
Ratatta [Lv. 5]
(all were legitimately trained and have whooped Red's ass)
I will get the English version soon so I can whoop you ass a few time, so I'll let you know when I get it.
Before you taunt my Ratatta, I guarantee it will whoop any pokemon's ass, regardless of level or Battle Tier.

Ratatta is legit, no cheats. And that Mew was due to cheating unlike my Ratatta. :furious: I use to battle in legit tournaments and made everyone go, "WTF?!" when they saw me kill a Lv 100 Rayquaza with him.

No... Not when you transfered him from Blue -> Silver -> Crystal -> Leaf Green -> Sapphire -> Diamond -> Platinum then to Soul Silver. My Mew is 12 years old. =]

That's impossible. They never had a GBC to GBA trade in any pokemon. That's why they redid the Mew event for Leaf Green.

Re: Pokemon Soul Silver/Heart Gold
he left out either ruby, sapphire, or emerald... could you transfer to those? I forget

Not even in those you can... I think he just used hacks to get it again if that's what he means.

I just know I didn't cheat to get my Mew, because I remember transfering from Leaf Green and I never did cheat on Leaf Green, because I didn't have a Action Replay for GBA. So is it possible to unlock Mew in Leaf Green?
I've seen people with a damn Mew on Soul Silver. If you can't transfer from GBC to GBA how come the Pokedex had Squirtle and shit on Ruby?

No, unless yer that loser that went to an nintendo event.
The Ruby/Sapphire were meant to be able to trade with future games like LeafGreen/FireRed/Emerald and the Gamecube games Pokemon Colosseum/ Gale something.

1. what's wrong with the events, I got a Jirachi and Arceus
2. I think he might have traded with a person who hacked to get the Mew in the first place

Maybe. Cause I had a Game Shark for Game Boy Color, but I never did get a GS or AR for Gameboy Advanced.
I'm still confused. I could have sworn you could catch them all in every game. After all in Pokemon Soul Silver this one hefty guy says there are over 500 Pokemon to catch. Plus I thought in Leaf Green you could start with squirtle or does it have the Pokemon from the GBC games and just not Mew and Mewtwo.

I said you could have traded with someone who hacked, the man in the Department store was joking, in leaf green you could get a squirtle as a starter and it had mewtwo, or at least I think it did, I never beat the elite four on it before I lost my copy of Fire Red

There was a glitch to get mew in Blue/Red/Yellow. But you couldn't transfer GBA pokemon with GBC. They both used different wires to trade. It doesn't matter anyway. You got Mew. That's that. Nothing more, nothing less.

Re: Pokemon Soul Silver/Heart Gold
I'm gonna write a review on this, since I finally beat it... classes were really wearing me down. It's the same game you know and love, minor additions plus some trippy events, like the Celibi in the Ilex forest or Arcus in the Alph ruins. The game is the perfect copy of the original with better graphics and new plot add-ons, also you can toggle the old music. The Pokemon following you around is a great touch and ode to Pokemon Yellow.
9.5 of 10, it's a nostalgia thing
