Internet Blacklist Bill
This Bill just WON'T die!
Basically this Bill will allow government to blacklist websites they don't see fit. Some they listed off would be file sharing websites and hacking related websites.
Keep Console Discussions and others online. Keep your eye on this bill and when more petitions and congress contacts occur, PARTICIPATE. This bill could change the internet as we know it.

Re: Internet Blacklist Bill
I dont know that this website would neccessarily be targeted because i thought I read somewhere that congress said that JailBreaking Ipods and installing custom firmware and what not on your own devices does not break any laws. I think if there was talk about illegally downloading games here, then it would probably be an issue.
As far as everything else, file sharing, hacking stuff, that is total bullshit, that is stuff that is protected under the first ammendment. That is what seperates the US from places like China and Pakistan. The first ammendment, our right to say whatever the fuck we want, whenever the hell we want to say it, about anyone we want to say it about. If you take away that right, you not only belittle the constitution that our forefathers took so long to frame, but you also take away the liberty and rights of millions of Americans. I say NO to this, and any bill anything like it. I will follow this closely, and do what I can, thanks for the heads up Johnny.

See I thought it was a violation of freedom of speech too, but how would the bill of made it this far? If it wasn't for the 4.7 million people that found out and wrote congress, this bill could have already been passed. They tried to hide it and due to petitions and shit, the bill got delayed since congress is out of session till fall or something.
But yea I thought the same thing, what happened to freedom if the government runs everything? I'm not a political person, but when it comes to shit like this... It really pisses me off.

Click on Silver's link. But this is so bullshit, they're taking away our civil rights and our freedom of speech. The reason this country was founded, for freedom. What's next, controlling what we eat? If this shit isn't stopped now, US Citizens may eventually lose all of our constitutional rights.

Nobody yet.The internet blacklist is just a bill,so it has no effect yet. And the ACTA is an unsigned treaty throughout the nations, which is also unsigned and not in effect.

This country was founded because taxes were too high. Taxes were raised to pay for the war.

without gays... meh no improvements in fashion or design(negligible impact on history), without Jews... Christians and Muslims would go to complete war and nuke each other, Jihad indeed (major impact on history, maybe for better?) without women... oh god is Saber J Marionette all over again... scientifically in a society without women, men seeking some form of companionship or just sex, with pair up with each other, on that note I'd kill myself in such an event cause what would be the point anymore(major impact on history, possible end of history)

We were talking about the Jew/Muslim/Christian thing in my business law class. Apparently 2012 will be WWIII between the Muslims and Christians, predicted by Nostradamus.

Re: Internet Blacklist Bill
They cant do that...what kind of crack heads do we have in congress! No offence.

Not going to happen. It won't be a war. The US will carpet bomb the fuck out of Iran before they can get a missile 10,000 feet in the air.

The U.S. won't do anything if nukes aren't launched that.I mean if they do start fighting nukes will get launched eventually, just not at the start.

Nukes=crime against humanity, that being said unless they attack first we have to retaliate with an equal measure of force, that being said nukes create more problems than they fix, If they do launch nukes it would be shot down by some counter measure the US has because nukes, while powerful, is most likely not the true military powerhouse anymore... only logical if you think about it

If you think about that, shotting down nukes is a bad idea. It puts all the radiation up in the air, where the wind is a lot more stronger. The radiation could circle the globe in who knows how long.

no well maybe, but it's common sense that a defense against the nukes had to be in place or at least tested since the made them, logical equals create a weapon= design defenses until everyone catches up and while they are "catching up" work on next weapon

A logical defense that we don't have the technology to make would be a missile to intercept and some advanced projectile to somehow absorb/collect radiation.

Re: Internet Blacklist Bill
Hydrogen bomb? And if Muslims attacked anywhere they would attack rome, home of the Catholics. Not the U.S, no one gives two shits about the U.S.
edit: About the defence against the other missles, the Americans have a policy to try and intercept missles before they ever hit the target. They have NEVER succeeded in a test run. You realise this bill doesn't only affect your own country right? It will hit everyone.

Hydrogen bombs are just nukes without radiation with about 50 times the size.Their mushroom cloud reaches up near the atmosphere and of course way more then 1/4 of a mile on the ground(The size of a regular nuke).H bombs cause more destruction but A bombs are more devastating in the long run, making any area hit uninhabitable due to radiation. And the Muslims would begin fighting Christians, not Catholics. The Catholics give 2 shits about ''The Holy Land''(Israel). This is highly impossible to happen because it wouldn't happen unless the Jews leave Israel of course, because the Christians and the Muslims would begin fighting over then land.
Anyway, your last statement was kind of dumb. This bill will affect only USA. Reason being is it's and American law, not a treaty like ACTA. Now ACTA will affect every country that signs the treaty, probably all of the U.N.

I find it lovely how your first post says no one gives two shits about my country.
Two pages of this thread are off topic.
+1 for post count.
This won't pass; it can't pass. It's unconstitutional.
