Yes, it is a homebrew game! It's one of the best out there that I have seen! It's so good that it deserves an actual PSP UMD Cover for it. This game is basically Guitar Hero combined with Dance Dance Revolution. It's such a great homebrew game, that it really doesn't seem like homebrew it actually seems like a PSP game. It also weighs in at a hefty 258 MB. This homebrew game is actually bigger than some of the real games Sony has made. It's such a great game though and totally worth it!

Installation:
Install 3.90 M33-2 and add the 1.50 subset. Put Guitarway_To_Heaven and Guitarway_To_Heaven% folders in your GAME folder.

For those of you running 3.90 M33-2 you will need to install the 1.50 Subset, if you don't have 3.90 M33 installed then you need to install it. Both can be found HERE:

I guess I got it just in time. DL the game from your link and it works on my 3.71 M33-4! I didn't know it would, thought you had to have 3.90+. The options menu doesn't show up though. It says "Being Worked On" don't know if everyone gets that or not though.

is the i.5 add on for slim too? i downloaded it and it said its for the phat only and said not to use it on my slim

i downloaded the files off of the link u gave and then put them in to my game folder... i attempted playing it and it said the game could not be played... i have 3.90 m33-3 and i dont kno wuts wrong

Is it perhaps a slim? If so you did not read my topic about slims. It is a lot of trouble to get it to work on a slim so just get Guitarway to Heaven 4 Amplified.

i dont have enough memory for #4 and i wanna play the song Iron Man which is on #2 so i need to get #2 to work on my psp slim

Download the 2 and 4 and take the song you want and switch it with another one in 4 or just add it.

You only need a bit for the game its self and the song... how big of a ms do you have exactly? If you don't have one at all then ur sol.

my mms is a total of 950mb and theres 372mb on it now

How exactly don't you have room? It's only like 300mb

guitarway to heaven 2 is... your telling me to get guitarway to heaven 4 and thats over 800mb...

The 1.5 subset does not work on the slim. To get 1.5 on the slim you need TimeMachine. GtH 4 Amplified works on the Slim. The thing about GtH is that the songs are interchangeable between all of them. You can keep any you want and delete any you want. So if you only have 372 just delete songs you don't like until it's less than 372. Then just add Iron Man.

i didnt understand ANYTHING you just said...

From what I just read, I think he means that you can erase songs if you don't want them...and you can add songs that you want from previous games.
I'm not sure tho, lol xD

What firmware is your PSP? Please be aware you must be running custom firmware. (If you are running Official Sony Firmware you can not run this game. You will need to use our downgrading service found HERE.

GtH as in ALL versions work the same way... Take GtH4 and extract it to your desktop. Now go into the GtH4 folder and then the songs folder. Now go into one of the difficulty folders. Find a folder that is named a song you don't like. If you don't like it delete it. NOW if you do that for all the difficulties you should have a way smaller GtH. Now to use the song you like from GtH2 just drag it to your desktop, go into the GtH2 folder, into the songs folder, into the difficulty that the song you likeis found under. Now just find the folder with the name of the song you like and copy it into the difficulty folder in GtH4. After this just drag to your PSP. If you still have no room delete more songs.

You obviously do not have brain. I heard you the first time. I will explain this simply. By deleting songs on your desktop that will create enough space to be able to fit on your memory stick. How much do you have? You said 300 something MB right? Just delete enough songs until the space required is below your memory stick's requirement. Understand or do you still think I am not listening?

How do i download gutiar way to heaven on psp

I'm a downright noob at psp hacking and stuff. I have a 3.90 m33-3 and i placed the 2 guitar way to heaven files into my GAME dir. When i go to Game>Memory Stick> i see 2 files, one corrupt data file and a Guitar way to heaven 2 icon with the music playing and all. But when i start the game, i get an error code 80020148. Please help. Really want to play this game. Have been waiting for a game like this for ages.

For some strange reason mine worked on the ipsp software for the psp? If anyone knows why i dont even have a custom firmware

I have the game downloaded but it wont play,it has the picture and muscic of the game but it wont play need help. I have firmware 3.90 m33 with kernal 1.50(Don't have a slim either).

OK just to make sure, after you downloaded the game did you extract it with winrar?
If you did, then, did you put the GTH2 folder in PSP>>GAME? It DOES NOT go in the ISO folder!
I know this is basic stuff and you guys prolly already did all this but I just wanted to make sure.
I think the amplified version is a lot better and the latest DL for it has a bunch more songs too.

IDK if the CFW matters but I have 3.71 M33-4.
OK when you connect your memory card, either by sticking it in your computer or going to USB mode on your PSP, the first screen that shows up is your memory stick root.

• In the memory stick root there is, or should be, a folder called PSP. If there is not one there then create one. (make sure you use ALL CAPITAL letters and name it PSP)
• Now take your brand new shiny download of Guitarway to Heaven and put it inside of the PSP folder.
• If you have extra songs, themes, backgrounds, etc... put those in the appropriate Guitarway to Heaven folder. ex. Any extra songs you have downloaded go in the Songs folder. Any extra themes go in the Themes folder. etc...

As for the 1.5 add-on, go to it on your PSP (under Game on the memory stick) and press X to install it.
After all that go into recovery mode and make sure that your gamefolder homebrew is set to 3.71 Kernal (for you it would be whatever CFW you have, 3.80, 3.90, etc.. Kernal) Just don't have it at the 1.5 Kernal.
And also make sure that you have it set to M33 driver- No UMD

Now go to your XMB, the main screen when you turn on your PSP, and scroll down through all the games you have until you find Guitarway to Heaven. Now press X and enjoy the game.

I thought that this game was pretty hard until you make little red, blue, green and yellow stickers of some kind to put on your buttons and directional controls to remind you which buttons are which!

After all that go into recovery mode and make sure that your gamefolder homebrew is set to 4.01 Kernal. Don't have it at the 1.5 Kernal.
And also make sure that you have it set to M33 driver- No UMD, in the configuration menu.
