Stealing a password

Well this is easily done with a few simple commands in command prompt just snoop around in there and you'll find amazing things.

I wrote this tut, I'm sure there is more tutorials about this same thing i just wrote this one up real quick though.


Step By Step Tut.

1. Click start then click run

2. Type in CMD

3. In the black box that opens up type this : Net user

4. It will show the users who are registered on the computer

5. now type this Net User (Username) * NOTICE: Make sure to have the * after the name like this
EX. Net User -.Z3U5.- *

6. It will say enter a password

7. Type what ever you want *NOTICE: Nothing will show up but its actually there just be sure to type it right*

8. Then press Enter after typing the password twice and then your done.

If you need to be an admin to do this type this

Net Localgroup administrators (your username) /add it will add you to the admins. If that doesn't work your out of luck.

One problem many people have is.. you have to have a SPACE inbetween The username & the asteriks ( * )

Like this...

Net user -.Z3U5.- (THERE IS A SPACE HERE) *

You have to be an administrator the input goes like this

Net User -.Z3U5.- *

(next it will show this)
Type a password for the user:
Confirm the password:

then it will change it.

ohhh i never knew i had to put the star
thing at the end LMFAO let me try it

5. now type this Net User (Username) *

Wow... you're not forcing it on anyone right? And no you didn't make this tutorial, you rewrote it stripping from other tutorials, this has been on this site at least once. Also such a thing doesn't work for a hacker as you need administer accounts on pretty much all networks to run this command app. Also you need a user account to run this so it's pretty much pointless. Also don't post tutorials to things you don't understand. (Also also also also also also)...

Yes i did actually make this tutorial i know theres gotta be another 1 on here there just wasn't 1 in here and i tryed searching i couldn't find it. I didn't rewrite it i wrote it from scratch. I learned it about a year ago and decided to make a tutorial about it. I didn't leach this tutorial from anything.

Who cares if this works for "hackers" hacking is to devise or modify (a/the computer program/computer), usually skillfully. Yea you modified the password so this is considered hacking.

And when did i say to go over to the banks computers and do this. Its for something like your brothers or friends.

No it was repetitive and it's sad that one has to 'force' people to vote for one's self.
You didn't write it from scratch, you wrote it from previous knowledge from another tutorial or someone showed you how to do this. Creating YOUR OWN tutorial means you were either the first to do what the tutorial guides, or the first to write the guide.

But you're definetly not a hacker or anyone who should be considered one if you go by the predefined definition of hacking.

This is quite popular on sites where little kids like to try to "hack" their school's computers. And this is (mainly) a network hack you can just ask your brother or use se to get the password.

Yea i did write it from scratch your right i did read a tutorial a year ago on how to do this i didn't copy and paste or take the main ideas i don't even know where the hell i found the tutorial i just remember how to do it. So i WROTE the tutorial on my own with no help i didn't go and find another tutorial on how to do it and copy and paste or take the 'main ideas' there is no main idea to this its simple text commands.

Why would your brother simply give you his password. The point is to keep you out if he set a password.

something very similar to this is posted on pspcodes when making a command prompt just open up a new text document and type command.com then save it as batch.bat or whatever you want to name it just put the extension bat at the end of it :>

Thats so you can open command prompt if it doesn't let you click run then type in CMD.

Fixed it. I also said you could use social engineering to get it. It's quite simple when you know how to.

Basically what Blackvenom is saying, forcing for rep and/or votes is totally sad (not trying to be mean but summarizing)

There were more guides made similar to this published earlier in the world. So knowledge used from other people's work made into a guide doesn't make you a creator.

Might not work tdue to all the security and blocks they put in, so get System access with this if it doesn't work and says "Access Denied 503" or something.

This simply won't work as you all want it, its far more complicated after the updates and service packs are installed.

If you really want to know and find out someones password, get a live boot cd called "OPH Crack" burn it to a disc, and boot your pc from it, it will crack all the passwords and show you what they are...

It has to be local? Never knew that, you might be able to change your own password that way. But I know at my school I can just press CTRL + ALT + DEL and choose change password. My friend changed his to 'balls' last year.

It works but only on XP not on Vista.

how can u make yourself b an admin on computer when your a limited accounT? well normally you can shut the power off really fast and then go into safe mode and change it but on my computer that will not work also the net user / add thing wont work either are there ne other wayS??

Crack the admin's password with like Ophcrack or something then using his account make you an admin.

Ophcrack is just a password cracker, its a boot CD, you burn into CD and then you boot it and it boots into its own little thing and cracks the passwords. Im not particularly sure where to get it, there used to be a link on scriptcore.net but i believe warez are gold on there now.
