MS_ROOT > PSP > Game > UPDATE then download the
500.PBP and place in on your MS_ROOT then start

So what are the pros and cons of this firmware.
Upside:
- sleep mode under Music
- NEW ICON (PSN)
- on screen keyboard in the internet browser
Downside:
- flash0 and CTF's from 4.01 M33-X do NOT work

Seriousy Commander John? Huh. When I went to upgrade, I had never done it before and I think I messed something up, because when I went on my PSP and clicked the update to 5.00m33 thing it said somethig like "5.PBP could not be found. Press X to download from online or R to exit" So I got it from online and am now running 5.00m33.
There is another downside:
This will not run some programs because the firmware number is 5.XX not the usual 3.XX, same with 4.XX, the program will not run because it thinks its the wrong firmware

u dont need a x.xx game folder. u only need a game folder
For some apps. you need the *XX folder. It's something you need to change regardless of whether you use it or not.
I've never used anything beside my normal GAME folder. No 150GAME or whatever..
only time i ever used a GAME150 was for my PSP Phat
back when i had one.
how is there a 5.00m33, if they just made 4.01m33 and makde a second update?

I have a newer 5.00 its 5.00m33-3 Its the same but with less bugs Only thing I havent found for neither of them is nite pr do you need revk??I use revj but it won't work on this
i used nitePR rev k on 5.00 M33-3 n it
worked just fine....

I was thinking of updating but I dont know if my recovery menu will work for 5.00m33. I mean without my recovery menu I cant hack any other PSP. Unless theres an recovery.prx for the new update, then I can finaly update my PSP.
the upside is that 5.00 can run ctf's =]
