How did you render this.
If you're using something like Photoshop I'd recommend using the pen tool to cut out the image.

Nice job, I hope that you continue and become even better. There are many ways to do the same thing in Adobe products and CAD products. I wonder what will be your next project.

Youtube tuts are one visual way of learning. Mostly you should play around with the tools and get familiar with the UI.
