I have the same problem and I asked Johnny who said he doesn't know... and I've been getting on live alot now... well when I can go over to my friends house, also on my profile page you can clearly see my points have increased, and as you can see I've also got gold now...

somethin must be up with the updating of the leaderboard page because if you hover over your Xbox Live Leaderboard by your posts and shit it says the correct amount.
