I wouldn't reccommend the whole get peopel to report your gamertag since it could lead you to getting some suspension on the account of a full on ban. Personally I would pay the ten bucks and leave it at that.

You wouldn't get banned if people only reported you for your name, microsoft would force you to change it (therefore getting a name change free). They are aware of people doing this though so they set the number of people who need to report the gamertag pretty high.
