Ok well im going to go through a full tut on how to jailbreak your ipod touch...this works on any firware (even the new 3.1.3

First were going to start off on the easy part

All your going to need is to download Spirit

Connect your ipod to your pc and run it

It will take a minute or two but it will jailbreak it and go to your homepage, but you will notice there is an extra app
This app is Cydia...the most basic packaging source for cracked ipods

So bring up Cydia and it will take another minute or two for it to come up

Once it is up go to the "search" tab and search "rock"

There will be something that says rock app, click on it and hit install...once thats installed your ipod will reboot and you will have another new app called Rock (shocker right?)

Anyways once rock is downloaded go back to cydia...now what im going to show you isnt manditory for jailbreaking...technically once youve done the first step your done but im going to show you how to get all the extra goodies

So go to Cydia and go to the "Manage" tab

Then go to Sources

Go up to the Edit button and hit Add...

Now im going to give you a list of sources you will need to add if u want all the "goodies"

now for those of you that are lazy and dont want to add all these make sure you DO add the last one cuz thats how your going to fet free apps

Now once your done with that exit cydia and head over to your new app "Rock"

The reason im going to have you use this is because its much faster than cydia and doesnt have to reload

Anyways once there go to the search tab and search "Installous" this is the app which lets you download any and every app in the app store for free...yes i said it "free"

So what do all these other sources do? your going to wonder
Well not eerything in rock is free unfortunately but these sources will let you download those few things that the original rock would not let you

One feature i love about rock is after you download something (if you set up a rock account) it automatically saves to an online backup so if your ipod or iphone ever crashes you can always restore everything with one click

Another question you may ask is "How do i get themes?" well for this your going to need to visit rock again and download Winterboard...once done search rocks categories for themes, once youve downloaded your selected theme just go to winterboard and checkmart it and there you go :D
