Are you talking about Fire Red for GBA? Or the traditional Red version from Gameboy Color times?

EDIT: Oh, Red the trainer at the end of Gold/Silver. AKA Ash.

Also, most people think that Spiritomb is impervious to Super Effective moves, since it is both Dark and Ghost. (Ghost is only weak against Psychic and Ghost but is impervious to Fighting. Dark is only weak against fighting and bug. It is impervious to psychic. Both counteract each other, leaving it with nothing super effective against it.) However, I have found a way to get a super effective strike in. Take a fighting type and have it know a good fighting move (Cross Chop, Low Kick, or Dynamic Punch will do.) and Foresight. Foresight will allow you negiate the Ghost type, leaving it wide open with only Dark as its type. Hit it with a fighting move and bam its done. :D
