Well you have shista. Theres your problem. It might not be compatible with Vista, check the specs for portable online.

The problem wasnt Vista it was Photoshop CS4. CS3 runs fine. Photoshop CS4 was made compatible for Vista users.

I have CS4 and I also have the Vista my PSCS4 works fine.
Can't be Vista
I got PSCS4 Portable too and it runs and I use Windows Vista
btw Vista FtW!!!!
Anyway even if that was the problem you could just set compatibility mode to Windows XP
Try Right Clicking it and running it as administrator.
