umm.... My PSP is fucked up because of this program.... I just tried installing it and now my psp is bricked and is useless -.-....

dammit i wish team m33 would come out with a 5.50 cfw.Gen sucks, because alot of the stuff that is really cool which works good on m33 5.00 doesnt work with the gen fw, but u know damn well ftb3 is gonna require a fw higher than 5.00. it seems the psp hacking scene is really starting to lose steam.

I downloaded this firmware from 3 different sources, ran it and updated my PSP slim 2001 and all of them gets stuck at 99% updating.

All 3 times i have to take my pandora battery out coz the shit won't do anything, resulting in a FULL BRICK PSP. I'm not sure why it's doing that on some PSP's, i hear other people are not having any problems with it.. What gives..

Anyway, i just went and sticked with my 5.00m33-6. At least i can play Final Fantasy Dissidia on that, but it sucks coz i can't play Soul Caliber Broken Destiny coz it needs the 5.50 firmware.. Same for Madden'10 i think..

I'm so glad that i haven't tried installing this. FTB3 better be good cause I'm removing my CFW to play it.

ya i have had a couple problems with gen b 5.50 such as psp didn't ever recover from standby and the pandora option in the vsh menu never worked correctly, but it worked in recovery. and yes alot of the homebrew that i was running didn't run. in turn i downgraded to 5.00 m33-6 and all better i can play dissidia and hopefully SC:BD

Hey everyone! Guess what? I got bricked by this! ROFL. And... I did everything right. I was on :laugh:5.00 M33-6 but went down to FAIL/BRICK

For people who keeps bricking their PSP when installing this firmware, or hanging/freezing when updating resulting in a brick. The problem is the update file itself..

I got a working 5.50 GEN-A [Full] and 5.50 GEN-B updates that fully work, tried and tested it last night and got it working on my PSP Slim Star Wars Edition running 5.00 m33-6..

I updated to it trying to see if that Hannah Montana: Rock Out the Show game would work but still it didn't so i went back to my 5.00m33-6..

Anyway, there is news that 6.00 OFW is coming out tomorrow, the 10th of Sept. Now let's just see if it's real and hopefully the M33 guys would come out with an upgrade to their 5.00...

Sounds like you have a semi-brick PSP there King_Mac...

See if you can access the recovery menu... If not, you'll need a pandora battery and a MMS to unbrick your PSP and install CFW on it..

Reason for it i think is the file..

Happened to me 3 times trying to update to 5.50 GEN-A from 5.00 M33-6.. All 3 times i bricked, i get stuck at 99% updating.. Those 3 updaters are from 3 different sources as well..

You just have to find the one that'll work for your PSP... I found one that works on mine.. Let me know if you wanna try that.
