ive never had that happen and ive downloaded alot of stuff from them.

Megaupload keeps telling me i have exceeded a download limit even though i havent downloaded anything in over a week, wtf is the deal?

Sometimes its the browser with its cookies and cache. Hit shift + ctrl + Delete and it will prompt you for deleting history and such. If that doesn't work, try deleting what you had downloaded last from your computer.
