Torrent is a peer-to-peer sharing which is like normal downloading but faster. When other people download the file they can seed the download and give the quality of the download and the more positive seeds the faster the download will go i use uTorrent as my torrent program but I don't get my torrents from there tho I use a different site I haven't found any problems with it and I had the same problem you had but I installed linux and it formatted my hard disk! So I needed a windows xp and I got one from there (this was recent) all I had to do was put my old windows product key and I had to activate it and just do a few updates and I was good. I am on the PC right now. I had NO with it so far.
