Alright so...
I did all of my research on the ipod touch (1g, 2g, and 3g) jailbreaking.
but I have just one question before my final decision... anyways since you guys know almost everything so I decided to come on here and ask on the forums.
Is any ipod touch 2g firmware jailbreakable? (not including the recent firmware 3.1.3) but like if its at 2X, 3X (firmware).

yes, every firmware (that I'm aware of) that is compatible with the 2g itouch can be jailbroken

here's another question:
Do you think its a bad idea to buy it from a store? considering Apple just released a new firmware I'm not too sure because it was just released a couple of days ago and I doubt they've already started shipping in new ipods with the firmware but what do you think? should I hurry up and get it before they do (if they haven't)?
yes. the ipod tpuch 2g can be kailbroken on any firmware but the new 3.1.3. ive jailbroken 2.2.1 to 3.3.2 on a touch so im sure itll work. only the 3g has issues. but as far as i know 3.1.3 cant yet
