Anti PSP Bricker (Anti-MKultra Backdoor function)

I know this is kinda noobish question but:

1. Does it actually brick your PSP (Cant turn on) or just animate your socom name?
2. If so how do I prevent it?

1. the brick code bricks your psp. the password print code doesn't.
2. don't use mkultra8 or use the anti codes provived when using mk8
