Ok Ill explain this simpilar...The dimensions are 5x8....If you double the dimensions*5x8* you would get 10x16,which is an area of 160.if 5x8=40,160/40*the old area*=4.The area was increased by 4 times, not by 2.if it was increased by 2 it would be 80,not 160.
5*8=40
10*16=160
40^2=160
I was recently working with exponents. Now I have to do logarithms. Math hurts my mind. I have to go to tutoring tomorrow morning to get the opportunity to re-take a test I failed.
