Bad news guys, it looks likes those of you who buy 360 games used will not be affected by the followers of the PSN pass. EA following in Ubisoft's footsteps, Ubisoft is back at it, saying most of their games, if not all, will feature Uplay.

Ubisoft has officially announced Uplay Passport, its own version of the online pass initiative which is said to provide players with “access to online features and exclusive content” for the firm’s upcoming titles.

"Uplay Passport is an adjunct to Uplay, an in-game service that offers gamers extra value, including a bevy of rewards and community features, just for playing Ubisoft games," according to Ubisoft. The Uplay Passport inititative will be implemented starting next month with the release of Driver: San Francisco just as we reported yesterday.

"In each new copy of a Uplay Passport-enhanced game will be a one-time use registration code that, when redeemed, provides access to Uplay Passport content and features," Ubisoft added. "The code can be found on the insert card inside the game box. Gamers can identify Uplay Passport-enhanced games by looking for the logo on the back of the box." If you decide to acquire a pre-owned Ubisoft game in the coming months, you'll need to purchase a new Uplay Passport online for US$ 9.99.
