I’m sorry for posting late/wrong place, I’m pretty sure Johnny had already answered your question, but I felt like replying to you, to confirm that it dose’nt cause any problems if you jump an update. I updated my brothers PSP PHAT to 5.50 GEN-D2, and the way how I did it was like this: I updated from 5.00 m33-6 to 5.50 GEN-A(full)—to—5.50 GEN-D—then—5.50 GEN-D2. And it was running perfectly fine, with out getting bricked or any problems or any kind of missing information. Note how I jumped from GEN-A to GEN-D, thats how I did it.*ALSO DO NOT JUMP DIRECTLY TO GEN-D2 IT WILL BRICK YOUR PSP, BUT THE GOOD THING IS THE SYSTEM WONT LET YOU UPDATE WITH OUT "GEN-D" FOR YOUR PSP's SAFETY*.
If this caused any harm to your PSP, then I will tell Johnny to Ban me from Console Discussions, to show my responsibility and consequence that I should suffer for. And hoping that my ban wont last to long, but long enough to learn my lesson. But also remember that I used a "PSP PHAT" not SLIM, so think twice befor you report me.
