I actually wasn't thinking of linking facebook in anyway when I posted that but it would get ConsoleDiscussions spread around. Although I do like the idea of just removing reputation if it still exists and just making it more of a "like" feature. Where it would show on your post who and how many people liked it, along with total # of likes on all posts somewhere in your profile.
